The Aroid Atlas (“we”, “us”, “our”) sells vintage botanical art prints as instant digital downloads through our Etsy shop, TheAroidAtlas. This policy explains how we handle data in connection with our website and our internal publishing application, AroidAtlas Publisher (the “App”), which we use to publish marketing pins to our own Pinterest business account.

This policy applies to visitors of this page and to data accessed by the AroidAtlas Publisher App. Purchases are made and fulfilled on Etsy; data you provide when buying from us is governed by Etsy’s Privacy Policy.

2. What the AroidAtlas Publisher App does

The App is used solely by The Aroid Atlas to manage our own marketing on Pinterest. Through the Pinterest API (with our authorization) it may:

• read and create boards on our own Pinterest business account (boards:read, boards:write);
• read and publish pins on our own account, linking to our Etsy listings (pins:read, pins:write);
• read our own basic account info to confirm authorization (user_accounts:read).

3. Data we access and store

• OAuth tokens for our own Pinterest account, stored securely in our private secret store and used only to publish our content. They are never shared with third parties.
• Our own marketing content — pin images, titles, descriptions and the Etsy links we choose to publish.
• Aggregate performance metrics for our own pins (impressions, saves, outbound clicks) used to improve our marketing.

The App does not access, collect, or store personal data belonging to other Pinterest users, our followers, or the general public.

4. How we use data

Solely to operate our own Pinterest marketing — scheduling and publishing pins and reviewing how our own content performs. We do not use it for advertising profiling, and we do not sell data.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell or rent data. Data is processed only by the platforms we directly use to run the business — Pinterest (publishing), Etsy (sales and fulfilment), and our hosting/secrets infrastructure — each under their own privacy terms.

6. Data retention & security

Access tokens are retained only while the App is in active use and are rotated periodically. Credentials are kept in a private secret store and are never committed to code or shared publicly. You may request that we revoke and delete our stored Pinterest tokens at any time.

This privacy page does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
